- To Pray. Open nights are primarily about praying into the launch of CLC Sheffield. In every situation we want to seek God before we take action. The primary (as per Ephesians 6) battleground for people’s lives is spiritual and therefore we need to seek God and engage in prayer, in order to see the people we encounter in Sheffield lives transformed for good. We also personally need to pray for courage, wisdom and favour as we step out in faith and enter a new phase in our own lives. For people not directly part of the launch team, standing with the team as one church is also important. Where people are united in spirit throughout the bible you see God’s favour and grace poured out. We are one church whether in Chesterfield, Derby & Sheffield and success in any location is our success.
- To build the team. The launch team need to learn how to work together, organise services and lead people in worship. Open nights are a safe place for them to do this, often for the very first time. You can support by attending and encouraging the team and creating the right environment in order to for them to gain confidence and grow into their new roles.
- To create the right culture. We want to carry the right heart and culture into CLC Sheffield. Getting the team together, worshipping, praying and speaking words of encouragement and sharing vision all help all ensure the the culture of CLC is replicated in our Sheffield location.
- To update on progress. People want to know what’s happening, how they can get involved and serve and what to pray into. Open nights provide an opportunity to communicate key information to the wider launch team.
Our next Open Night is on Thursday 4th August, 8pm at Christian Life Church, Chesterfield - we would love to see you there!
